To be brutally honest, the future of the Grayson County Historical Society is in jeopardy. A decision will have to be made by the end of the year whether we are able to continue. However, in the meantime, we are going to do everything possible to insure that the Society survives and continues its mission of preserving and sharing the history of our wonderful area.

To do this, we need your help. Whether it be by volunteering a few hours a month, writing an article for our newsletter, or assisting with research, any assistance is important and appreciated.

We are currently working on plans for this year on expanding our outreach to the community, of putting together field projects, and other activities to increase interest and grow our membership. I will share these plans as they are finalized, but if you have any suggestions, we are certainly anxious to hear them!

We are proud of what we do, and dedicated to maintaining this organization for the future.
